What this site does — and what it deliberately does not
It does
- Convert, shift, merge, check and create subtitle files — entirely on your device.
- Show every cue in a preview before anything is written, and flag overlaps, inverted timings and too-fast lines.
- Keep timings exactly as they are unless you deliberately change them.
It does not
- Translate, transcribe or extract subtitles from video — that needs audio and AI, which this site deliberately avoids.
- Upload, store or share your files: there is no server side here to upload to.
- Burn captions into video pixels — that requires a video editor or ffmpeg; your SRT is the input that workflow consumes.
